I had a good evening on the Mississippi River last night fishing the new swim worm in X2 blue with blue flake. I'm not sure how to fish a "swim worm" vs. a standard rubber worm....but I did best by swimming the worm a foot or so after it hit the water...then bounced it back like a standard rubber worm. Most of my fish chased it after it hit the water ...and then hit it on the fall.
The biggest of the evening was 4lb 7oz...which for a northern bass is a pretty good fish! My "best 5" would have come in a little over 18 lbs (estimate).
That new X2 blue is a beautiful blue!
I lost a BIG dogfish next to the boat that I would have loved to get a picture of....but I was too busy screaming like a little girl while trying to get the lip grips in it's mouth! I'll hand grab a big northern pike...but I'm not touching a dogfish!!!!
