.... with walleyes and weeds, here's the next color scheme put on the 8617 foiled jerkbait. Pretty well known as a fish getter and certainly belongs in the tackle arsenal.

The bait on the left has eight coats of thinned Bait Blast's Golden Shiner. The second to the left has 9 coats. The other three to the right have ten coats. This color had to be thinned until it was about like water on a plate to cover smoothly due to the heavy pigment load. Each coat was heat set using a hairdryer and dried very quickly so the process wasn't a long, drawn out affair. The orange is equal parts fluorescent orange and flame red bait blast. The eyes are some 5mm I've had for about 15 years from the long since past Bogg's Baits and fit the sockets just about perfect and work great with the bait's colors.
