Don't forget about the warranty. I've had to replace 2 Lowrance units during the warranty period and then shortly after the warranty, I had to pay a lot of money to get them repaired. At that time the warranty was only a year. After spending thousands on them I did not feel I got my moneys worth and at the time, I went 2 times a month and stored my boat indoors and disconnected my units before charging the boat. That was 24 trips in one year and the units back then were a couple grand each and I had 2, one at the front and one at the console.
