Twinjector Backpressure

I am getting a lot of backpressure when drawing my plastic.  It is the BT version.  The injector is warm.  I am using pyrex cups.  The plastic is 330 ish.  The injectors are oiled (worm oil).  The injectors are clean.

Thoughts?

For what it is worth, I have had my original for a couple years now and then another. I have NEVER used worm oil in them once. They were/are smooth as silk without it.... Might be the issue...

Yes I am pulling but its not moving (sometimes).  Other times seems to move better but still not smooth

Make sure the little "port" on the bottom of the injector is free of debris. Or, you can slightly unscrew the end of the injector to be sure the air has somewhere to go. Sounds like the air can't be displaced out of the injector. Is the worm oil plugging or blocking those holes?

Thanks.  I will try cleaning the injector one more time.  I can see daylight thru the vent hole but there could be some excess oil?  I will disassemble and wipe it all down and give it another go round later.

Mine move freely but hard to suck up plastic too. Make sure you are not too deep in the cup and bottoming out. I was not heating enough plastic (4 oz in each) and blocking the nozzle.

Jim..You ever pull the nozzles off the twin and pour the plastic in directly from the cups? I know it's dangerous, I do it now with a single injector.

NEVER. How could you hold the twinjector up (safely) and then put the nozzles in. Way to much manipulation in my opinion. The plastic will be cooling all the time you are doing all this.

Other big thing would be all the bubbles will rise up to the tips of the injectors, just the opposite of how you want it.

It is just so easy to suck the plastic up and then inject it, I can't see it doing any other way.

Have you changed the O-rings? If you not using ones made for high temp they could be getting hot and sticking
when you load it with hot plastic. (Just a thought)

I think you are going to deep in your cup and you are getting stuck to the bottom of the cup.

My twins do the same when drawing plastic in.... figured it was because it was new.

I have been playing with this for some time.  I do believe it is related to the cup.  I draw straight from the pyrex cup and my cups have tapered walls like a pyramid.  Because the twins are only so wide -even with the cups right up on each other it is drawing from the side of the cup as opposed to the middle.
