DD gill rigging options
« on: 12/14/12 09:35 UTC »
Just got my new DD gill molds they make amazing little baits the cool thing I like about them is you can rig them like a swimbait (obviously lol) but also like a flipping beaver style bait. But looking at the finished bait I'm also thinking with the right jig or maybe a wire with a treble I'm thinking this may work as a lipless crank style also! Has anyone tried or thought of this?

How do you rig it for making it like a lipless crank? This bait seems really interesting to me.

Posted a pic in the gallery to show everyone the bait body is a lot like a rattle trap style bait. Haven't got to test it out yet but I'm pretty positive it will work. Take a lookI

I bought those on ebay in a 100pk for like 6$ they are 3\0 mustad I believe their called aberdeen hooks their the one used for do-it mold jigs. They have a 90 degree bend where the lead part of the jig usually would sit. I'm sure other hooks would work in a similar fashion I just had these on hand and thought they would work good
