Nice glove alternative
« on: 04/29/13 19:36 UTC »
Well hello fellow fisherfreaks.  It's been awhile since I have posted anything.  I got busy with a new ministry at our church and of course the baits business has been at its "hay makin' time" lately as well. (Thank you Jesus)  I came on the ole forum a few times in between and did not like what I was reading as far as this forum started taking a direction most of us came here to avoid, with folks getting at each other, and shooting darts, etc. so I really stayed away even more for that reason.  Along with quite a few of you, I was here to get to watch CCM grow from nothing to something, and have got to know a few of you because of this forum, so I am happy to see the nasty stuff seems to have been a very short season.  We really want to keep this place a place for learning and sharing, not shoving and swearing.  I know most of you agree with that!

-Nevertheless, on with my post.....

Here are the gloves:

As a few of you know, I have been on a long search now for a great fitting, safe, and durable alternative to the normal gloves most folks tend to wear, and I finally found that alternative.  I will warn you, they are pricey, but the features are well worth it- #1 heat protection- these gloves do not look like they would withstand the heat we work with but I assure you not only do they withstand it, they do it better than most gloves I have tried.  I can fill an injector and hold it by the barrel for a long length of time with just barely any feeling of warmth, and its a mild warmth at that.  #2- Dexterity- I can just about demold any of my baits with these gloves ON.  They withstand and protect us from the nasty stuff, but yet in a way we can actually move our fingers.  Brilliant!  #3- Workmanship- I will tell you I was VERY apprehensive about paying $40 for a pair of gloves, but I am so impressed and happy I did.  I just went through an entire wholesale order and these gloves still look brand new.  I usually wear between a "large" and "extra large" glove, so I ordered the large and at first they seemed too tight, but after the first use, they molded around my hands and fingers nicely and feel like a perfect fit.

Anyway, I thought I would share my find here for any of you who are interested.  If you have more detail questions, PM me- I would love to share any info that may help you.
Glad to be back, by the way...

$40 bucks, huh!  My gloves are so cheap every now and then I can smell that acrid odor of burning flesh.  $40 is probably a small price to pay.
Until next time.

Thanks for the info. Those are good looking gloves.  Pricey,  but a lot of times you get what you pay for.
