Just in case anyone is considering the hand pour molds on this bait. I have them and unless you just can pour, I think a guy/gal would be crazy not just getting the hand pour version.
Unlike many hand pour molds out there, Jason cut these a tad deeper so you get a bait that is very close in diameter to a 2 piece mold body. Held in your hand, you really can't tell much difference unless you flip the baits over.
My biggest deal is to compare the cost, whether you are doing these for yourself or for production, and see what the difference is. The open pour mold is $20.50 or $18.45 for 3 or more molds. A 2 piece is $49.50 or $44.95 for 3+. As you can see, the open pours are a 2 for one compared to the closed mold. For me looking at getting 10 molds to complete a bag of baits (just something I like to do if selling the bait), 2 piece molds are going to cost me $440.95 total while open pours will be $180.45. Bottom line is, at $3.25 a bag, I only need to sell 55 bags of baits to break even with open pour molds but 136 bags for the 2 piece molds.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the hardest), I would say these are a 4-6 for toughness of pouring. Little more difficult than some but far easier than most.
I REALLY like the open pour as I like to make the body real tough (saltwater plastic) to hold my hook but then make the claw portion in super soft. With open pour molds, I don't have to stop, demold, add claws or anything, just keep pouring away!!!!
