Do-It Wacky Hooks #785

What is the approximate Overall Length of the size-6 and size-2?

I have lots of ideas for those if they're small enough!

Thank You Sir!

I received my hooks when I got home after last hitch, about 11 days ago.  They're good for what I intend, but I do wish they had 1 size smaller, just a little smaller.  They're really just a small 91768BLN, which is a good thing.  I'm going to use the 785's for Drop Shotting Wacky.

You will be surprised how stout those hooks are.  I agree that a #4 size hook would be nice to have.  But; I use a lot of jigs in odd ways.  I live bait fish the wacky head a fair bit.

Yes they are... (I love that hook.)

I'm curious... what were you intending... was this the drop-shotting wacky, or something else?

DropShot Wacky for Sacalait.  I have the 2" DES and will be applying my brain with it, as the DES are versatile.

Any crappie that's keeping size can inhale the #2 hook with no problem.  Fish usually stay buttoned with that hook as well.  Small mouth buffalo are notorious to  pull out, but we have excellent success with the wacky head on them.

The presentation IS a bit unorthodox...yes...and applied to Sacalait/Crappie, no less.  I'm going to be applying some similar things in other areas, as well.  Just thinkin' outside the box, doing uncommon things and getting results!  There are other twists, still, that I'll be applying to this presentation...but that's the Finer Edge...

Mr. Paul, I certainly agree that the hooks are plenty small for Sacalait, but it's just a little Out-Of-Proportion within the rig.  It'll work just fine, but You know how fisherman can be.  And I agree again, that the hooks are strong.  I checked them and checked them again...they're quality, in my book, and I'm a stickler!

Wacky rigging and paper-mouths just doesn't seem like they should appear in a single sentence or thought process... but I guess it is about the same as me using finesse plastics for muskies.  Yes indeed, it's the unconventional thinking that connects us with fish others can't get with conventional methods... kudos to you for the idea... give a report when you nail them.

I caught my biggest crappie (I'm not a crappie fishermen) on a gama 4/0 circle hook last year. Meant for catfish and had a 5in creek chub on for bait. you never know what's going to bite what I guess.
