The one video shows a guy hitting smaller fish with a blade and he's not putting a ton of effort into it. When I drift fish and have a blade on I seldom work the blade real hard. I always use a braid with blades so stretch doesn't soften the ability to get the blade wobbling ever so casually while I fish it vertically.
I have blade up to an ounce that I use on occasion on Lake Superior if we mark suspended fish that won't chase while trolling. We'll turn back and re-locate the fish and drop a big jig/plastic down or a blade and work either just a foot or so over the trout and drive them nuts.
