E-fly

Finally got the e-core refined to make some usable mayday mayflies. With a little filing and measure once/cut twice adage I found that a wire coat hanger worked out nicely.

That "E" style of injecting makes some unique baits, that's for sure. Nice panfish size stuff you've got here. Good job.

Very impressive Fishermanbt. Efishnc's E-core method is the best and simplest method around. I E-cored 200 2" curl tail grubs for a customer last week, and he was very excited about trying them out for crappie. Your mayflys look good!

Hey Lines-

You, 2XL, and MikeJ brought out some combinations I never thought of early on, so I would be interested in seeing your handiwork as well.

They look phenomenal. Great technique. Is there any information about this technique that I can read about this E-core technique? I would love to find out more.

go to the search box at the top of the page and write in ecore, then hit search. Lots written here and plenty of pictures with the technique.

Here are a few NanoFry baits I Ecored using a twin injector for the primary colors and followed with black. These are only 1" long.

Somewhere I have a picture of some 1" Ice Ticklers that I did using clear plastic and cored them with glow in the dark colors to get the glow core and tails.

I would recommend just searching 'core' as not all of them were listed as E-core (e.g. Sexy Core, Candy strip) and some posts used hyphens while others did not... the beginning started here:

Also, here is a link for a pictorial walk through of my various experimentations with the process:

I'll have to talk the wife into getting us a decent camera so I can get some pictures. I usually don't do much fancy stuff, but I can give it a shot.
