Locked swivel loop for spinnerbaits

Smalljaw, I am in the market for a set of those round nose pliers. Do you recommend spending the extra coin and getting the German made pliers or are the China el cheapos ok. Another question, in making spinnerbaits is there ever a need for the nesting round nose pliers?

Thanks guys, Apdriver, I suggest spending the extra coin for the German made ones, that is what I use and I can tell you that the cheap ones will work ok but if use them  a good bit they will wear faster. I got the German made ones after I badly grooved a pair of the cheap ones, the ones I have now have lasted 8 years and get used heavily so get the better ones. As for the nesting pliers, they are ok but only have one bending surface but they will work.

Nice buddy!!!  Went and looked at other video's you made, good stuff.  Been using the same tying steps for years - learned a lot of them in Helen Shaws - Fly Tying when I was in Junior High.

Thank you Fatman, it means a lot coming from you. I'm self taught, I learned to tie buck tail and then rabbit from an old river rat who told me how to do it and there wasn't internet at the time so I wasn't sure if I was doing anything right. After about 100 jigs I got a little better and now 10,000 jigs later I can finally say I make clean collars...lol.

Still remember when you came on a couple of different boards in 2012.  The small ones threw you for about a month then you hammered them and switched the materials to the bass size's.

Yes, you gave me a lot of ideas on color and helped me to become more versatile. The small 1/48oz and 1/64oz trout jigs were hard but I can at least tie them now, but flies are something I'll never be able to do.
