I figured out what I did wrong, last night, when using the paperboard to split the Mold Halves. Jason mentioned I "covered the vents" but I didn't understand, as the vents are etched in the aluminum. I didn't think far enough. Using paperboard (poor man style!), the paperboard was passed the vents and apparently "folding over" into the "Dado" or recess that compensates for the hinge. I backed up the end/edge of the paperboard so it was between the end of the vents and the end of the cavities...BAM!
Edit: I'm thinking, if one is using a thin metal, as was suggested to me, and like what Dave is using, the Vent Clogging Problem MAY not be an issue since it's more stiff...paperboard is probably much more maliable. Lami Plates must be in my future!
