I figured out what I did wrong, last night, when using the paperboard to split the Mold Halves.  Jason mentioned I "covered the vents" but I didn't understand, as the vents are etched in the aluminum.  I didn't think far enough.  Using paperboard (poor man style!), the paperboard was passed the vents and apparently "folding over" into the "Dado" or recess that compensates for the hinge.  I backed up the end/edge of the paperboard so it was between the end of the vents and the end of the cavities...BAM!

Edit: I'm thinking, if one is using a thin metal, as was suggested to me, and like what Dave is using, the Vent Clogging Problem MAY not be an issue since it's more stiff...paperboard is probably much more maliable.  Lami Plates must be in my future!  :D

Awesome baits!!!  Is that the 10" Ribbon Tail and Berry Bug?  I haven't tried it on the Ribbon Tail yet - if so, very impressive!

That is the 7 inch Ribbon tail and the baby berry. The worms come out very nice, but time consuming. The baby berry spit on me. I must of not had my mold warm enough.  ;)

Kind of...  ;D

We are getting everything back in order now.  The holidays were quite a bit busier than we had expected and we pretty much had to focus exclusively on each day.  The good news is we made it and were able to keep our turn around time where we wanted it.  We were also forced to look at how we do some things, and as a result I think we found a few ways that we can work smarter vs. harder.  Overall, it was a very good learning experience.

To better answer your question, I need to update the site...  Until I do, if there is a plate you want, just send me an e-mail and I will get it added for you.

Thanks,

Jason

I'm all for Jason working harder! He's always out of the shop and probally puttering around in his canoe, trying to catch all my fish before I get there! ;D
