I see some of y'all use automotive flakes. What about mixing pearls used in automotive paint. Can this be used?

I figured you have done it.  I almost PM'd ya but I figured this may help someone else too. I'm in the auto parts business and mix Sherwin Williams paint.  I thought I may play around with some.

The automotive and other aftermarket pearls work great in plastic but I'll remind people again that when added to plastic the pearl color will stain the plastic that color/

Is that a paste or power pearl in SW? I haven’t tried yet but I have a feeling the paste pearls sauch as what BASF uses won’t mix in well.....and sure won’t dip well. I have never shot SW so I didn’t know how their form of pearl

It's a powder.

Go for it I think you’ll be fine

Tom does bring an interesting thought I want to play with and checkout for my self comparing mixing to dipping and the staining in mixing.
We did do copper pearl in with 5 drops of motor oil on some craws and it made an awesome looking rusty red color
