College FLW Win - Do-It Pro Cody Batterson

Cody Batterson is a competitor at many levels, whether it's on the wrestling mat, crappie derbies, or in the field slamming waterfowl and now he's carried his success into the college Bass world again with a huge win at Kentucky Lake last week in the Yeti College FLW Open tournament.  Cody and his partner bested a 216 boat field with a mega 50lbs bag!!       What an accomplishment!

Tommy and I teamed up with Cody and his dad, Cory on several of the Crappie Masters circuit tournaments over the last 5 years.  It's been pretty cool to watch him grow as an angler and seeing all of his hard work paying off!  Cody and his dad Cory, are tackle-crafting gurus and were instrumental in the development of the Bat Jig.

So True!!!  Fortunately, he is into Bass and not edible species! LOL  I was so proud of Cody (especially to see him on stage with his Do-It hat on!!! - he is a good friend, came to my crappie seminar in Detroit with his bassin' buds and made them sit through it - son of the Bat Jig co-creator and longtime Do-It tackle crafter - Cory Batterson!
