Another chunk....

The surgeon took another chuck of the old bean off this morning. The pathology department has it now and hopefully it will come back as non-malignant. Couple more cuts and the head will have enough divots to marvel a golf ball.

They sort of alluded to an on-going mission with this stuff. Apparently there are several suspect areas and they will only take one at a time. Maybe could get old in a hurry.

On a lighter note....if this keeps up I'll be looking like Denny. He's already been thru this but was ugly to start with.

 Actually, I just had an MRI a couple days ago and results were clean as a whistle.  God works.  Man,  I remember when Jerry was battling the big "C" and all of us guys kind of circled the wagons around him.  Cancer is an insidious disease and it took Jerry in no time at all. I like to think of him in heaven giving the angels odds on a ping pong game.

 I hate the stuff. Had a few chunks taken off myself over the years. If we could only turn back the times and change a few things we did back then. It is good to see so many fisherman wearing sun screen clothing now a days. At least we taught them something.

As it turned out I needed to have more done on this particular spot and today they cut out a substantially larger chunk than the first time on this spot. 2"-2 1/2" inch long incision with a width around 5/8" to 3/4". Not as deep as my surgery a couple years back, but still a cut I didn't need. Maybe a dozen stitches and they're a pretty heavy stitch. Doc says they stay for a full two weeks due to the location and size of the cut. I'll be looking like one of Carole's quilts if this keeps up. The doc was confident that he got enough out to get it all but the final word will come in about five days.
