Bait Molds

Can the Stone Molds from Bait Molds be sprayed with engine paint so baits come out easier.  Never ordered for them. It would be time consuming if you have to spray the mold with worm oil every time you inject the mold.

I wouldn't. The detail is so fine in the stone molds that even a light coat of paint will mess with the venting and if you can get paint back into the far recesses you'll likely be messing with the finished baits appearance. WD40 works good on the molds if its sprayed into a small cup and applied with a small pointed paint brush. It doesn't take much WD40 to get the baits to come out clean and easy but you will have to apply it prior to each injection. I have a six cavity stone mold that deals me fits with incomplete fills after the first two injections. The mold material gets hot and expands by the end of the second injection and I get a ton of incomplete baits. Let the mold get cold and its stellar. I may spring for the same mold in aluminum thinking the metal mold will behave better in every area.
