I had to try to get my chartreuse tail on an e-core and finally managed it. Lots of putz work but they look not bad.

The clear body color is done with another white particle color shift called Purple Fusion. It doesn't go to another color but shows the beautiful purple as the light's angle changes....just not too well in this picture. The particle size is larger than that of the blue-to purple delta color shift I used in the other e-core pics and makes getting the color to show well a real trick in good light, but its there. I may try adding a bit more pigment to the cup and see if that brings it around. You can see the purple in a couple areas of both baits but it doesn't seem to follow the black real well. My focus here was to get the chartreuse tail, not so much the color shift. And I got my tail.
I first shot the mold to get the tail pieces, then I shot the mold with the nails to get my body sections. Once the tails and bodies were trimmed and placed back in the mold I shot the black. The nails I used meat that I could only do one side of the runner. My first challenge was that the nails would migrate to the side I wanted the hollow body and the heads would shut off plastic flow so the bodies were only partially filled. I finally left the other side bodies in place and super glued the nail heads to the ends of the full bodies, then injected to get the hollow ones. Then in order to get the flow thru the bodies I had to shorten the bodies at the tail merger as well as the tails. Eventually things came together. This is probably not a process if one is thinking of making money but it a great way to get tail colors as well as an e-core. You'll just have to take my word for it that the purple really does come out in this combination but the camera and the sun seem to defeat me in capturing it.
I did another nice color too but the camer's battery dies so you'll see that after the charge is finished.
