Kyle,
The landscape in your pictures looks like where we lived in Southeast Iowa. We lived south of Ottumwa, Ia. for 25 years.
I had several friends who owned farm ponds that we all fished almost every Sunday after church. Good people, good fishing.
Good times!

That's awesome! I love southern Iowa for all of those reasons!

Fun to see different thing find to do in between hunting and fishing and some my do it all a year long. Metal detectors have always been interesting to me but never got around to getting one.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

Did you make it out on the water this weekend, Kyle?

No, I didn’t this weekend. Did you make it out on the Sip?

It’s been a pretty fun tweener hobby for me between bites. Uncovering history has been exhilarating and like anything I’ve ever done there is a huge learning curve and I’ve enjoyed that part of it immensely.

We got our first harbinger of spring yesterday in the form of a tornado warning,  Damage was sporadic as the storm weakened before it got to us but re-strengthened after it passed.  Pretty typical for us in the spring
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

No... my buddy has been doing well on walleyes of all sizes, asking me to join him, but if I get in his boat, it's a four hour minimum (most often in excess of six)... a little garage time is all I can afford.
