FloridaG, have You ever seen this pic of mine?

That "Watermelon/Red" is a lighter version...in the Salt, I call that Avocado/Neon.  That other color, the sandy one, is a color I've been "keeping in my pocket".  I do have the recipe.  I told one other member about me possibly sharing this color, but have still kept it under wraps...and it's why I was trying to get You to call me...:D

That color is what I call "Dune Good"...the name is a combination of "Sand Dune" and "Doin' Good".  It's KILLER in the water, and will totally Fit The Bill for a Shrimp or Baitfish.  I have another idea for a "Spin-Off" of this color, that is widely ignored, but thrives in nearly all waters across the country.

I also have a darker Shrimp color in the Cook Book.

http://www.caneycreekmolds.net/index.php?topic=800.0

The recipe has a pack of Deadly Dudleys in it, but those baits don't contribute much.  I made a batch of the "Saltwater Shrimp" for a guy awhile back, with only 10 oz.s of Plastic and no store-bought baits added.  They came out fantastic.  That guy is a Crewboat Captain, lives in Florida.  He was stoked.  If I were making this color for myself, I'd probably use 12 oz.s instead of 10 oz.s, to slightly lighten the color.  12 oz.s will yield a bait that's the same as what's in the pic...minus the tiny, faint Opal flakes that You can barely see shining in the pic.

I think someone posted one called Desert Storm in the cook book too. It looks like a sandy desert camo.

have a friend (who makes amazing balsa crank baits as a  hobby) near Tallahassee  told me that they are catching fish like he's never experienced on WATERMELON W/GOLD AND BLACK FLAKE. He said not only were they slaughtering fish in Lake Seminole (every time they would pull bait thru grass they would hook a fish)...but rivers/streams all around the area.  He said that in had to be this color combo...not watermelon and anything else...but black and gold flake.

They even contacted Zoom and asked (begged) for them to make a run of the bait (I believe some type of C-tail worm) in the thousands...but Zoom declined. They have bought all of the local inventory up.

I know you guys have probably made this, but it is easy to overlook a great color when you make so many!!!

Jim, this man is not the type to over react...at all, so they must've been absolutely shankin' those bass...and in the rivers too (appalachicola, choctahatchee)
