Hey guys,
I'm looking for your thoughts on the Thumper Fry. I used one today and have mixed feeling, I was hoping the "tail" would move much more like a paddletail style lure. Maybe I over looked something?

It's one of those..."a bit more" kind of baits

It's like a small fry...but with a bit more sound.

It's like a carrot...but a big more movement.

It doesn't scream more...

Instead it just adds that "bit more"....

Some times...a "bit more" ...is just what is needed.

Some times.. it's what the want..

Some times... it's not!

I originally tried throwing one on an 1/8 oz jig and it had almost no action. I switched to a 1/16 oz jig and it had way more action than before. I'm not sure how you are throwing it but that's just a thought. Andrew had some great points also.

I have the mold and absolutely love the baits at two very specific times of the year. When the heat of summer really bears down on us,  this is a dandy for crappies. Again when the water temps start to sink in the late fall and crappies have the serious feed bag on, this bait shines.

For me personally, this bait has plenty of tail action. 

I am dunking this bait on a 1/32 head cast onto a #4 sickle and its fished on a free line, no float.

Is it possible that the plastic used was too hard??? The tail section seems a little stiff. I was using a 1/32 jig. In both slack water and current.

I use nothing but CCM soft plastic and I still add softener at a rate of 25 drops per 3/4 cup of plastic. This results in a super bait that has some serious stretch to it....I don't see many ripped off tails from aggresive bluegills.

This bait doesnt have much paddle action.  So if you are looking for a paddle tail this wouldnt be the best choice.  The swim fry might be a bett choice.

Brent  GREAT BAIT !!! get a lot of white bass,crappie and some walleye on this bait. The mold is a user friendly mold. Mike
