Wultz-it with a spinner?
« on: 05/12/13 17:57 UTC »
Anyone try fishing a Wultz-it with a hitchhiker and a spinnerblade?  I think it would be a good option for stripers and musky on the seven inch. You could put a spinner on the belly and where the tail meets the body. Would work good on the smaller sizes also. Just a idea I thought of but haven't had time to try. Maybe someone else has?

A couple of fellows I know fish them on chatterbaits.  They have caught stripers on them fished this way.  The 4 Inch Wutz-Its in shad imitators.

What about rigging it like the Poche Spinner?  Trim off some of the tail section and put a small spinner blade on a swivel attaced to a screw in bait keeper.  I think this would work awesome.

Poche Spinner  -  That is a new one on me.  Interesting concept.  Seems like maybe it would invite short strikes.

I have only fished it a few times.  I do know what you mean though.  I was able to make one with the Wittle Wutz-It so you can see how it looks.

Forgot to mention, I cut off about 1.75" of the tail.  I am going to save it and use it for panfish.   ;)

Thanks for the ideas  guys. I would have never thought about a chatterbait. Im going to try that. As for the spinner I like the idea of rigging it under the chin; after the hook has been put in. Shouldn't be any short strikes that way.
