I'm going to shoot that stupid ground hog!
Don't shoot the ground hog...He's innocent in all these predictions about winter. I read where the inner circle of gentlemen (those clowns in the top hats at these Feb.2nd functions) decide the day prior as to what the ground hogs prediction will be. Shoot them.....

Im in Northern NJ and can't take anymore myself. We had over a foot of snow this passed Sunday and another 10" today already not to mention what they are predicting for the weekend. At least the water level should be okay come early spring....

Why do I have the feeling that this winter will go from snow and cold to blistering hot over a week's time? I don't see much spring coming.

We're getting hit right now 5-10" where I work and more at home.  Really not much for Vermont and Sunday/Monday they're looking at another one.  Makes for a fun 104 mile round trip everyday.

I just got off the phone with Jerry and he said they are getting blowing snow right now and the temps are supposed to go downhill all day. We have 20+ mph winds here shoving snow around and the current temp is -1. Our temps are supposed to go way down again tonight. So what's new with this winter?

Tom and all glade that the majority are sick of it. Tom how did you do at Red Wing? The wind ls a steady 25 plus today and snow. The only good thing with the amount of snow we had this year the spring run will be great. We should see flow speeds of 31000 cubic feet per second  when it gets there the walleyes are there big time. 8)

Mike....Carole and I were at the shop on Monday and again tomorrow. I stopped over to Everts to drop off some stuff for the resort but didn't fish there. I did sneak a half dozen casts along the levee in downtown Red Wing on my trip back to the shop but the iced guides made it almost impossible to do any decent fishing. I think I mad six casts and had to un-plug the tip and first four guides for each cast.

That sucks when the guides do that.  Better day's are coming. And hope it doesn't go from =5 TO 90 overnight so we get to enjoy spring. Mike
