Orange eyes
« on: 03/16/14 15:05 UTC »
I recently got my hands on some eyes that have an orange outside with a little gold ring then the black pupil. I have them in 2 sizes.

The 2-1/2" fry at the top has 4.5mm eyes which are just a hair over-sized. The 3.5" fry has 6.5mm eyes. I think the orange works better than the red in some instances and the color scheme shown here is one of them. I wasn't entirely sure about the orange eye but was ready to try another color. When I found these in slightly different sizing I made the order. I'm not sorry at all. I made a few frogs last week and they got the big orange eyes too.

The smaller baits are headed to my crappie bucket while the big guys are already in the walleye pail and are going dunking this week. We've got deceptive high skies today.....lots of sun but the thermometer can't seem to inch any higher than 16 degrees.  Warmer during the week ahead and I have an order to deliver so these and a rod will be going fishing.

Both the chartreuse and the blaze orange are X2 colors. 6 drops to 4 ounces of plastic in both shown here.
