What if....?
« on: 03/27/14 11:37 UTC »
Its rainy and dreary here today. Ma's got sewing on here mind so I dug out some empty planos and began doing a "somewhat" orderly  stashing of different baits to keep them organized. I had a couple piles of Flapjacks and a couple piles of the 2" gliders laying side by side waiting for their own box. Those tails just drew me in and the next thing I am wondering, what if I took a glider tail which is a little more streamlined and put it on a flapjack body. Well................

I didn't gain a lot but it sure helped pass the time. The bait in the center of the picture is a flapjack so the difference in tail size is apparent.

Man, its tough to be stuck inside when the outside temps are finally warm enough to be out there playing.

I buy my boxes by the bundle of 4 or 6 now.  There's no conceivable way to fish all of these baits by myself. That's what my fishing buddies are for I guess.

Do you heat the ends and stick them together or do you glue them?

I cut the tails like you see them from the glider and set them in the flapjack mold far enough forward to stop incoming plastic from getting behind the tail stem and injected the mold. The welds are a solid as any.
