I don't make plastics as I'm so committed to lead but I saw one of those infomercials on that "nu-wave" hot plate and what it made me think was it would be great for soft plastic because you can actually set the temperature of it. Put the plastic in a pot and set it for 350 or higher and you just give it a stir now and again but it should stay at a good temp, at least I would think so but I haven't poured plastic.
