« on: 09/20/14 19:56 UTC »
could someone tell me where I can find the following 2 molds.first one is a hula grub, and the second is a 4 or 5 inch grub mold that compares close to the zoom fat albert,or yamamotos super grub.the hula grub I use is made by yamamoto also.i recently purchased a sample bag from do it and the body of the k grub and the 3.5 inch skirted grub are a lot bigger than I want.especially the k grub.i fish both of these baits texas style in mostly clear water situations and these beefy baits are a little to large in body for what im looking for.any help is appreciated.thank you

The skirted Chubb grub is the closest "out of the mold" match to the Hula. The other way to go about making the Hula is to find a twin tail grub mold that you like and purchase a separate mold for making the skirt only. Once they have been shot, you have to fuse the two together. It's easier than it sounds lol.

As for the single tail, I'm in the same boat. I have yet to find anything close to the Albert. I'm a huge fan of spinnerbait trailers.

I used to fish the hula grub a lot.  I switched over to the 4" skirted chub grub and haven't looked back.  I fish it on a ? or ½ ounce football head and bounce it over rocky bottoms.  I just got the 3" version, but haven't fished it yet.  You can pinch off the four appendages if you want.
Until next time.
