My first pours (4" Croaker)
« on: 01/06/11 00:12 UTC »
Definitely not the prettiest looking baits but overall I'm satisfied with the way they turned out. Almost all of them were poured using recycled plastic from baits I don't use which is why the color is so ugly.

Let me know what you think. I'd also like to know how to pour laminates like the ones on the sales section (the black frog with the white belly). Advice on making those would be greatly appreciated.

Advice is always welcome  ;D

To get the two color frog you pour the belly buy hand with the mold open just below the spru. then let cool for a min then shut mold clamp inject top color.

Yep. Just make sure you let the belly cool until its pretty solid. I let mine cool until I get an indentation in it,then inject. If you inject too soon the belly color will kind of slosh and be uneven. I just tried my first laminates last weekend and was very happy with the results. I'll post some pics after I get some eyes and dip'em.
