rehab
« on: 03/25/17 12:40 UTC »
I informed my wife this morning that I was going out for some exercise/rehab this morning, so I grabbed my fishin poles and plastics and off I went.  I had planned on fishing several different baits but my 2 inch shad bodied curl tail got most of the attention so that is what I stuck with.  Ended up with 2 bass, 1 bluegill and 8 crappie.  Smallest crappie went 12" largest went 15".  I walked a total of about about 200 yards without too much pain so all in all a very successful day
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

A 15" crappie on March 25 is cheating, but then you do live down there in semi-perpetual heat. You must not have any wind down your way today. Up here I stay indoors cause the wind is blowing hard enough that when it hits you in the face it takes the wrinkles out of willie. More than winter I am tired of wind but I'd go fishing in the wind for 15 inch crappies if they were black ones. Our 15" black crappies haven't quite woke up yet. Another two weeks....then maybe the wind will have come down your way.

Good that you get out and exercise. This getting old stuff is only worse if you don't keep exercised. Congrats on the fish.

Yep gettin old sucks but it beats the alternative.  Two weeks ago I had to drive my truck across the street to check mail.  Now I can walk 200 yds carrying a bucket of fish so pretty happy with the progress.  Hoping the doc says I don't need the injection but will wait and see.  Thanks for all the well wishes
