So E....are you leaving the core pin in place in the bait to punch the holes or do you remove the pin that makes the core and punch thru side to side/ top to bottom? I can see a brass tube similar to what an R/C builder might use for a fuel line. The punch-end brass tubing could easily be sharpened by turning the end of the tube on a piece of wet or dry sandpaper at an angle. The brass tubing comes in a whole world of sizes. Any plastic that ends up in the tubing can be pushed out with a stiff wire.

I think for personal use this is a novel idea and as DF suggests, glow pigments could take baits to a whole other level but as I see it size is an issues for anything much smaller than a bait like you've shown. Smaller baits would be a challenge and a half. I did some Nano Frys in a straight core with a pin and they were about taxing...can't imagine doing this process in a small bait like that but it would be a real topper in my opinion. Never know though...I may have to try it using glow plastic.

Any color. I think with your E(xtra)-core idea, being able to shoot a glow tail and have glow spots on the body would look awesome.

Right on... I imagine a plain colored body (black, white. or grey) with florescent dots and tail would really look sharp.

Pull the main core pin and punch through both sides... it doubles your pleasure in a way Wrigley did not anticipate!

I use my 4" grinder while rotating the needles at an angle in my fingers... and yes, the punch cores are easily cleared with a brass rod (or wire).

I really like DF's idea, especially with a neutral colored body to make the glow dots/tail pop!

Nano fry, you say... hmmmmmm... you might have given me another idea... (just what I didn't need).   ???

" I did some Nano Frys in a straight core with a pin and they were about taxing".... by myself from an earlier post in this thread.

Here are the Nano-cores I did. I first shot the mold with pins in place using chartreuse and orange in the twin injector. Then the black was injected when the pins had been pulled. I put some eyes on these guys then gave them a cover dip of clear plastic. Cute little guys but a lot of work. And yes, the fish enjoyed chomping on them.

I know Kyle thought at the beginning of this thread that maybe color shifting pigments were going to play a part in this and in light of that I have something to show for tomorrow, but I can't get a picture anymore tonight.....I'll want good daylight for it.

I remember those little fellas... my thoughts are a bit more simple and will play better with a larger body like the Thumper Fry, but even so, this new idea is well behind a couple of additional core & cut ventures I am hoping to accomplish... looking forward to what you have to show tomorrow.
