Basically using the same formula as I did in the beginning of this post, here's what I found. I bought color in a pint bottle and made 8oz batch. If my numbers are correct you're getting:
Starting weight of pint 20.413-20.342=.071 ....one bottle cost + shipping $26.95
287.5 batches using 8oz plastic; buying a pint of colorant ...that was 70 drops of ***** watermelon......cost is .04 per 4oz batch, where X2 was .03 per 4oz batch
...vs 20 drops of X2 to get the same look..guessing on this
... 3 bottles of X2 is roughly 19.62oz = 750 batches
Less paint with X2 and more batches per bottle, slightly less cost, no re-pouring from pint bottles into smaller bottles, less time spent counting drops!
Anyone wishes to double check my math, go ahead; I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
