Ever have one of those moments while measuring glitter that it ends up all over your work area? Brush up what you can but there is still a film of the bright sparkly additive that just won't go away? This is when one of those hunks of old plastic just sitting in a cup comes in handy. We all know how static plastic can be and that glitter loves to adhere to it. I take a plug of old plastic from a cup and slice it into two or three chunks with flat edges....like slicing a cupcake. Then just tap the flat edge wherever the glitter is and the plastic will take it right up. When the edges of the plastic are filled just toss it.
Vagrant glitter has messed up more clear plastic for me than any other factor. I always have plugs of plastic that aren't enough to do a shot or maybe have begun to wear out on me and as long as its headed to the trash it might as well become useful on the way. I use a couple of white acrylic cutting boards as a work surface because they reflect light and let me see what is happening with the plastic but they attract glitter and other shards of plastic like a magnet and these junk plastic pick this stuff off the acrylic better than washing it off. Try it, you may find it handy.
