I had no plans for today other than cutting my lawn.  But my daughter showed up yesterday with a shiny new Weber grill with all of the doo-dads.  I now plan on being quite busy.  Have a safe and happy fathers day.
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

Man....she could have done this last weekend Sarge and I could have come by for some custom cooking while we were down that way. lol Hot there too? I got the lawn and my section of park lawn mowed before it hit 90 but mowing at 88 isn't much fun either.

And Sarge.... I absolutely love this.....

Yes it is well into the 90's with the heat index about 103.  I still wanted to BBQ but the wife changed my mind because my grandson came over so we had korean bbq (cooked indoors) instead.  My last grill (the one I retired today) was a Weber wannabe.  Bought it in 1985 and have stored it outside exposed to the elements for 33 years.  It looks like it took a direct mortar hit but has served me well.  Good by ol friend.

I spent the day in bed until about noon with an upset stomach I have had on and off for 4 days. I think the anxiety and stress of Father’s Day and the upcoming 3rd anniversary of my dad’s death have gotten to me. I felt well enough after that to go out to a wonderful lunch where I had Key West grilled chicken and shrimp that was fantastic. Then made me want Key lime pie after I got home. My oldest boys gave me a couple of heat felt gifts. Austin tied me a wonderful fly I am ready to try out and A.J. had hung onto our tickets from a NHL game we went to back in February. He took and put the ticket from the seat I sat in in a clear case. It was all of our first NHL game. We have all been to a game at about every level of hockey imaginable except the NHL and NCAA division I, so this was special that he thought to do that.

I am going to stay close to the house the rest of the day in case my gut starts acting up again. Hopefully tomorrow evening I can go test out the fly. For now I am going to work on some pinstriping projects and enjoy the A/C.

Hope the rest of you dad’s had a great day.

Sorry I'm late to the party. I hope Y'all had a good one.  My crew took my dad out for lunch and we had a blast.
