Well.....did you buy a couple of those steaks with built-in handles? Nice buy on the rod bud...you lucky hound.

Things are getting ugly around here weather-wise. I think I'll see the stream and river behind us well over the banks in the morning if we get another shot or two of rain like we've been getting. And that sort of weather is forecast all night.

Stay dry Mike!

Tom Got one had to have the butcher trim the bone so it would lay flat in my cast iron pan. But still have enough of a handle to eat caveman style.

Hasn’t stopped raining long enough to cook. Maybe tomorrow for breakfast and than I won’t need to eat for a day and half picked the smallest one and it was 2.5 lbs.

Looks like a successful day, almost as good as a day on the water.  Hope you can get out tomorrow.

DO-IT CORP. I should have know that around the time the kids go back to school it usually rains that week.
Lines don’t need but one and than you don’t need anything for 1.5 days.

I got lucky with the rod I picked up I like 7’ and longer. They didn’t have much as far a seconds being a holiday weekend and all. Any time you can buy a rod that fits the way you fish you have grab it.

"Look'n Good"
To bad on the rain,
been there an fished in it,
made the best of it, and still caught fish

St.Croix has a lot of in store buys
I couldn't leave without purchasing one myself
Good Luck on that weather challenge
Hope it clears up for you

Billygee and basscatlildave  Got a pike after it stopped raining now it’s windy on the back edge of the front. The clouds are really moving out of the north going southeast.
