Tourney Win

According to a coworker of mine, who called me at 9:30 pm tonight a CCM Croaker won a recent tourney on Lake Conroe. It just so happens, if I understood my buddy correctly(I was in shock so the information may be a little skewed) I gave the croakers to my coworker, who in turn gave them to a relative who fished the Conroe tourney and took first place along with big bass! I was told it was a $35,000 purse and big bass was 10.8 lbs. I'm searching the net, and getting conflicting numbers, though I doubt the Croaker is in question. Way to go Jason!

I'm still not finding any recent events with those numbers.. I did find I recent Conroe Tourney on 2/12/12 where the big bass was 9lbs, but didn't have the payout of 35Gs...Sorry for the hype! I can only guess my co-worker misunderstood what he was told....... :'(

Maybe good for me, might be bad for him if he's sponsored. I wouldn't want to be the one to get the guy in trouble.

You don't want to do that.  There are a couple guys at the top of the Elite level that use some of our stuff.  They can't say a word, but at least let us know how they are doing and that they appreciate our efforts.  It's really cool, but there's so much more involved with their success.  It's just nice to know you are getting to help contribute, and that they appreciate it enough to recognize you.

I think you are doing the right thing protecting them.

Thank-you Jason, I would hope someone would do the same for me if I was in their shoes.

I have sneek "peeked" on and in the boats of the elite anglers when they are on Wheeler, Pickwick, Guntersville.  It is "educational" in what you see, and don't see.  Especially on the pre - fish days.   Back several years ago; the number of Humminbird 997's & 1197's on boats during prefishing tourney days was a big reason I seriously investigated them.   Humminbird was not an "official" sponsor at the time, if I am remembering correctly.
