...."sailors take warning", eh? It was sure red here about 6:30. A bout of Afib rousted me at about 4 this morning so I was able to watch this sunrise unfold and go from grey to red to grey again, all in about 15 minutes. It never ceases to amaze me how fast this transition takes place. And the color today was just amazing in itself.

I've had some memorable days on the water on a Sailor's Warning sunrise.

I hear ya on that Kyle. I have had some dandies too and almost, just almost, went out this morning early but the darned wind is 25 to 35 mph here from the SE so where I fish right now out there would be like fishing in a wind tunnel straight in the face. I'm thinking the crappies are likely there by now but I'm not going to face that wind with afib and not being able to breathe well. Carole and I ran a couple errands we needed to have done today and so far have stayed ahead of the crap they're talking about but I struggled to get air when in the wind. Still dry here and the national weather service is saying about two maybe three inches here out of this storm but lots of rain later.....and more wind. You guys must be done with the rain for now....eh?

Was reading the grand daughter a book the other day and one of the sayings was "red sky in the morning shepherds take warning".
Had never heard it that way before always as sailors, did a bit of reading and low and behold I should be reading the Bible a bit more as that's were the saying came from.

Certainly better than a picture I'd get now....white. 67, sunny yesterday. 31, snow today. I have about 4" of really wet stuff here.

That and many other sayings originated from the Bible. Pretty interesting.

Whatever the Sky says, We're going out in it.

We take it head-on, just like We like Our Shrimp.  Hold your heading, hold your course, and hold on.
While you're sleeping and awake, We are the Rough Men doing violence with Nature to bring You Oil and Natural Gas.

If Our jobs were easy, everybody would be doing them.

Enjoy the view of the Red Sky 👊
