Tube molds
« on: 05/19/19 19:38 UTC »
Hello Everyone,

I am looking for advice on how to make a lot of high quality tubes quickly (multiple cavity molds). Do tubes take a lot of time? I am also currently looking for 2.75" tube molds. Does anyone know where I might be able to find some? Any input is appreciated!

Thanks!

Do-it has some nice tube molds  https://store.do-itmolds.com/Tube-Molds_c_291.html but nothing in 2.75. The fastest way to make those is to take rods and dip them and then cut the tails.

If you are looking to cut the tails, instead of shoot them with a mandrel, look at the angling ai tube molds, they have 2 different 2.75” versions, slender and double dipper. I have the double dipper and it makes a great tube, and super easy to shoot. Cutting the tails is a bit of a pain, but I like then end result better than the injected tails, all personal preference though.
