Great Trip
« on: 07/23/19 11:28 UTC »
I fussed about the plane ride but the fishing was great. The locals said it was way too hot and fishing was slow but being from South Alabama and never catching Smallmouth I had a wonderful time. Lake Champlain was awesome and I was really impressed of how gorgeous the New York countryside looked. We also drove up to the Saint Lawrence River. My Uber driver missed a turn and kept driving so I also got a small tour of Vermont.

Awesome.  I've never been out that way but it sounds like there is some excellent fishing to be had in that part of the world.  Nice Smallies!

I watched the FLW's live coverage of the Champlain tournament and while doing so, added another lake to my ever-growing and expensive list of lakes to fish. Big largies on the south end and giant smallies everywhere in between, a guy can't go wrong.

We caught some fine Largemouth too. I was going to post those pics up too.
