2 Color Senko
« on: 07/30/19 14:16 UTC »
Any suggestions on pouring a 2 color Senko on a horizontal plain.
Similar to Peanut Butter and Jelly.

I tried using a utility knife, put the bottom half in the mold snuggly and then poured the second color.
Just didn't come out too well

Thanks,

Make plate out of thin metal, like pop can opened and laid flat. Cut out for the sprue then close mold with the metal in place, clamp and inject with one of the colors. Open mold, remove the plate and split baits, now jus put the half-baits back on one side and inject with the other color. Remove the finished baits, and repeat with the other set of half-baits.

I would always just open the mold and hand pour the “belly” using a small 1 cup Pyrex measuring cup. Let it cool so it doesn’t run. Then close up the mold and inject the “back” just like normal. Simple and effective

Twin injectors work well. Do-it has them for sell and they cost a few bucks but well worth the investment. Plus you can make some cool Sh&% with it.    https://store.do-itmolds.com/Injectors-Gloves_c_255.html

Cool Lamar

Thank you, I'll check them out.

I'm mostly doing re-melts.
To make a Senko using Plastisol, it's not less than buying them outright.

But I hooked up with a local bass club, about 30 guys total.
They supply the old baits and I re-melt them.  Different flake, glass if desired, whatever they want.
10 Senkos - $4.

Hosstile Soft Plastics.  Made some labels to put on bag.  They meet next on 8/6 so I'll throw them a freebie and show
them some of my combo color baits.
