Mille Lacs walleye season closure in Sept

Won’t it put more pressure on the rest of the other lakes and what lake will be next. And does it also mean the winter season also? I understand the need to monitor/manage populations but the size of Mille Lacs is so big I wouldn’t think you could come any wear near hurting the population but I could be wrong given how popular it is for walleye. Like to hear from people that live and fish there.

All because of the Indians. If this nut case president wanted to do one thing good for this country he’d negate every Indian treaty made and let them start carrying their own weight. Here we are in the 21 st century and we still have one segment of our society that creates the most damning prejudice ever created. And it’s all across the country. Mille lacs just happens to be the lake with the big target dot on it. If the Indian netting went away it would be pretty much a regular lake.

We have the same thing here to but mostly in the northern part of the state. Witch affects bag limits but not close the season.

This isn’t a fish issue. It’s a forced prejudice issue.

Hear that Tom and there are a lot of instants were they let the fish go too waste and only catch them because they can.
