Do you have a hook recommendation for the 3" croaker?

You can use a 2/0 or 3/0.  Depending on the hook and if I use a spring lock as a keeper I will either run the hook through the belly, just put the barb in the tail end, or run it between the legs and skin hook it on the top.  It's really flexible, just depends on what size hook you're comfortable with.

Might look close from the top but the bottom is the difference between the 2 frogs. In addition to them being different in shape, these toads outperform the models I have used that are on the market. I am a frog-throwing fool!!!! I have used the Wave tiki-toad, Bob's Tackle shack (I make them), Ribbits, Horny Toad, Yum. Kicker Fish, Lake Fork Tackle, De'ls Buzz Frog, Bear's Buzz frog, Sizmic and the New Yum frogs.

Get one in your hands and see the difference!!! The wider body allows this frog to go through the thickest lily pads withour getting caught in the "v". You can cast this one a MILE + a few feet and the subtle side to side action (the bottom difference in the toad) as it rides through the water seems to really invoke some viscious strikes. Also, a spot for eyes is built into the mold.

I will be posting up some pics of my colors soon as I just got my 4" and the 3" will be here today.


If you are a frog thrower, you owe it to yourself to get some of these toads!

I spent a weekend with Jason and he introduced me to the Frog in the 3.5 and 4.5 inch varieties.  We threw them for a couple of hours and had several strikes on a day the the Bass seemed to have lockjaw.  I was uable to get a hook up.  I have used them in the Waco area now for a couple of weeks and am now begining to catch fish.  One afternoon I had in excess of 15 or so strikes in a two hour period.  I have now caught a 4 pounder and am planning on heading out this afternoon for an hour or two.

what size eyes are you using for the croaker? I saw the eyes you have on the website, was just curious what size they were or just what size has fit the croaker best.

I think .25" or 6 MM look the best but anything in that ballpark would look good.
