2" Canadian paddletail
« on: 02/08/20 18:36 UTC »
A local baitshop folded a year ago and just now some of the goodies the shop used to make baits have come available. I picked up this 6 cavity mold for $15.00. Its Canadian made and I have no idea what company cut it, but it makes a nice bait that will fit right in with several of my other paddletail molds I inject for my crappie arsenal. Got a different body shape to it that I can't decide what its supposed to mimic. Anybody here seen this critter before and maybe a name of the bait  or who the cutter was that created the mold? The baits are spot on at 2".

The baits are spot on at 2"

I'm betting they are more likely to be 5cm if they are Canadian, eh.

Actually this bait shop that went under has a box full of Do-It cnc molds that I am going to inventory and post for sale here. These molds will be priced very nicely so keep your eyes open . I may do the inventory tomorrow.

Northern crappie will not touch that bait. SO, you may as well send it South for $15 and I'll pay the shipping!

Just in case your wondering. That mold sells for $74.99 plus $10.99 shipping. So I think you did OK. I also have that mold and it's a good bait, but I had to pay full retail.

Nope. Exactly two inches...unless 5cm equals two inches...which is short of two inches by about 1/64.

So Gary...do you do well with this bait? Crappie? Sunfish? And I think I saw on the website that there's a 3" version of the same basic bait. Got That one?

It's a good mold; however I like the Thumper small fry better. I fish it for crappie; usually under a bobber. Don't have the three inch.
