PID Controller
« on: 03/31/20 19:12 UTC »
Does anyone have a wiring diagram or pictures of how to wire up a Pid controller, thermometer and a ssr to a presto pot??

I've done a ton of research and there's a lot of people who have this setup,  but talk as though they are electrical engineers on how they set their's up, lol.

I'm very challenged when it comes to electrical work,  so please be detailed on what PID and SSR you have purchased as well as how it is wired up.

Much appreciated!!

I already have a presto pot with a mixer motor. Just trying to keep it low cost for now.

I will probably invest in an injection machine next year,  but i need something to get me through this next fall/winter. Just signed up with a large retailer (10 stores) within the ice belt.  Using the presto pot and mixing up 1/2 to 1 gal of plastisol and keeping it hot in the presto pot will increase my output 10 fold.

One to start with. The plan is to build another, if I can figure out how to wire it up to a PID temp controller,  lol. Otherwise two pots will be too much to babysit while injecting from the first.

Once all setup, it will be quite the operation for just ice plastics!!
