Practicing new techniques
« on: 07/10/21 15:53 UTC »
Well. yesterday morning I felt really good so I decided I would practice my skin pouring techniques.  Then I discovered that my microwave finally gave up the ghost.  So I get a new one and decided that today would be the day instead.  I decided that I would do a perch pattern of sorts just using trash plastic I had on hand.  Shakey hands made it a lot more difficult than it needed to be but after several attempts I got it done.  I must say I was quite happy with the outcome.  Certainly not Chris Jones level but pretty nice in its own right.  I do understand now why his baits command such a high price, this process is very labor intensive.  I will be doing this again in the very near future.  Unable to post photos but who knows what the future holds?
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

Sounds like a winner olsarge.  I need to work more on my pouring skills. I retire in 96 days, 8 hours, 36 minutes, and 33 seconds. Maybe then I'll be able to dedicate some time for quality skill learning. Something that really matters.
