Been at the cabin since the 7th and just got home at 12:15 this afternoon. Fished every morning and every afternoon. The salmon and Lake Trout have been showing up and I brought home three of each. Nothing huge but nice eating sized fish in the 2-5 pound range. Beautiful weather with the fall colors beginning to pop.
We had a small bear show up every afternoon into the evening so we helped his diet out with some leftovers and sunflower seed. Cute little fella. Two nights ago a much larger bear showed up at one of the corn feeders but was pretty shy about getting closer to the cabin. Carole came zooming in one afternoon all hyped up.....found a porcupine in the yards so I had to go get a picture. I'll get it up in a bit. Cute little sucker.
I plan to sleep a bit later these next couple days as I have been up at 4 every morning to get on the breakwater before the green masses showed up....saw some real comic crap from some of these "anglers". I wish I had a video camera.
Anyway, its nice to be back. Now to focus on the crappie bite until we go back for another eight days at the end of this month.
