Im sure glad it missed ya! When I see all the destroyed homes on TV from the storms I fell so bad for those people. I know how it would effect me if it happened to me. Having to start all over even if no one was injured.

I know, there were no warnings at all, other than thunderstorm warning. BAD weather year for sure

That part of the front came through here about 8 this morning.  It was moving fast.  Just rain of and on since.  I was wondering then who was going to "catch it" come about 3:00 to 5:30.  Glad it didn't build and touch down.

Same kind of stuff came through here too. Had the root cellar door open and ready. Glad I sprayed down there for no see'ms and gotchas soon as it got warm.

We don't have storms like that out here in California.  We have an occasional earthquake now and then, but very few of them cause extensive damage and they only last for a couple minutes at the most.  I look at the Weather Channel and see all the tornadoes out your way and it amazes me that more people aren't killed or severely injured.  Be safe.
Until next time.

I grew up in KS so I have a healthy respect for storms, but the thought of one doesn't freak me out.  Diane grew up in CA and she FREAKS with bad weather!!!

Glad you are safe.

Several years ago we had some college soccer players from England working with our soccer league.  A pretty decent summer thunder storm came through.  Hard rain and a good bit of strong lightning.  They literally freaked; terrified beyond words.  Tornado, Tornado, Hurricane, Hurricane.  They talked about "The Storm of the Apocalypse " for the rest of their time here.

From the back window of a house we had a few years ago in Hammond, WI

And yes...that was as close as it looks! (less than 1/2 mile) You could hear the thing!!

FYI..no one was seriously hurt....but it did manage to find the only trailer park in town!!!!

Safety Tip if you ever move to the Midwest: Do NOT live anywhere close to a trailer park...they are tornado magnets!
