Pro Blue Quakin Shad
« on: 03/28/22 12:57 UTC »
My favorite color for baits of this type is Pro Blue/Pearl Red. Bass, walleyes, makes no difference, they both love the color. These were done, of course, with the DO-It Twin Injector. Two injections just to play and see how things go. Perfecto.

The baits have some seriously deep ribbing.... I like that. They slip right out of the mold, no hanging up or sticking.

What a huge plus to the line-up of the Do-It swimbait class of molds.  All that's left now is some walleye water and walleyes.

I just got the mold myself and love it. I made mine with a motor oil black flake top and a Mo's Milk belly. It's going to pair perfect with these two heads. I've been wanting that little bit bigger swimbait without that bulk in the body. I think I found it.

PS: I don't have one of those fancy light boxes like Tom has so I'm thinking my bait looks better it's just not all fancied up like his is.

Must be an illusion. All of these are as round as round can get. I'm in the same boat that Lamar is in with the mold and the baits.

And Lamar, no light box. Just good old sunshine on a cloudy day.

I guess I see what you're asking but no. The bait is round.

See what you're saying Bass Boys. Think it's voids from air.

Different places on all 4 baits as well, so it can’t be lighting. Just air pockets trapped in the mold

They're all round. No air with the venting this mold has. Speculate with something else...you already showed your displeasure with the mold and not having used it. And yes its the light.

Did I say anything negative? Just said what is plain to see, it could easily be that it was shot too hot or too fast, doesn’t mean it’s the molds fault.

Lamar is a pro at this, no way he makes rookie mistakes like air bubbles.  Now, if I was shooting the mold, I guarantee there would be air in at least 1 bait.  I'm great at making them.

I stand by my comment that it is a nice looking bait.  If I had the cheddar I'd pick it up today. Maybe in a few weeks.

I'm fishing it tomorrow and I'll report back how it does. That's the real test. I just added Mega Live to my boat so I'm itching to see how the fish react to it. Tournament is Sunday so we'll see.
