Thanksgiving should never be reduced to a focus of family, food, and football... (or the pending arrival of X-mas)... this is a time to recognize our blessings (because we all have them) and to be thankful for them.
Our late friend Jerry V. said it best to me in a simple text stating: "Be appreciative of what's right with your life; in your gratitude is the power to make it even better."
Whether it was the first thanksgiving or today, religious or secular, this is as simple as it gets... Happy Thanks-Giving to all!
