Custom Mold ( CNC )
« on: 01/01/23 19:22 UTC »
Happy New Year!

Does anyone know or could direct me to a person where I could make a custom cnc mold ?
As far as the bait design, I would draw the bait by hand to scale but not sure how the whole process works.

https://www.cncmolds.com or https://bugmolds.com are the two that come to mind. CNC molds makes some nice stuff. Bug Molds is located in Ukraine but they are still working and shipping. I have 2 of their molds on the way. The custom mold I had them make in February 2022 took about two months to get to my door. All I had to do was email them some pictures of the bait I wanted showing the measurements in each picture (I used a metric ruler in each photo). I’m sure there are also several others in the US that can cut one for you.

Thank you.
How much you think (in a range) for costs all said and done?
May use cncmolds. I'm sure it depends on # of cavities and size of the bait.
I was thinking of a 2 cavity 7.5" bait. I will make sure my bait sketch is drawn to scale and detailed, which should help the production  process.

If you're using the Ukrainian site you can likely keep costs down initially by using the stone mold product. If its exactly what you want, order the cnc mold.
