In spite of the drought....
« on: 10/18/23 11:13 UTC »
.... the garden did pretty good this season. I still have standing tomatoes with a few half ripe ones hanging and its supposed to be warm this weel so maybe I'll get a couple more before I pull the plants. The carrots are still in dirt too and I plan to dig them later this week. Today I stuck a shovel in next to one of the ten sweet potato plants we grew. This is what I found under the vine.
We'll likely be eating a lot of them baked or sliced for chips or for fries. Love the sweet spuds just about any way they get prepared.

Looks real  good Tom. I use to  help  a buddy milk  & his mom had baked sweet taters every day & i could flat tear them up with some butter on them.  ;)

Great looking taters. We feed a lot of the culls to deer down here.
