Everyone enjoying the big chill?
« on: 01/21/25 09:26 UTC »
We were at -19 early this morning and have warmed all the way up to -16 now at 9:20. The coldest I have seen here for Minnesota is -35 in Chisholm, up in the iron range. Trust me, I do NOT need those temps here. I know people who are currently in Texas about 20 miles from the border with Mexico and its 32 degrees there this morning. Hoping they took coats with them. So with the entire mid-section of the country in the deep freeze, what kind of temps are ya'll finding on the thermometer this morning.

Here in west central Missouri this morning we were -2 this morning.  Not a record breaker but my 76 year old bones are saying stay in and drink coffee.
I find it incredible that I have to explain to a grown American citizen that taking a knee during the National Anthem is disrespectful.

Evidently a warm 18 here in Washington.

Looks like it'll be here for at least a handful of days.

Do what you can to stay warm.

We were -8 this morning. I texted all my renters last night and had them open doors under sinks that were on outside walls and laundry rooms that had doors on them to leave them open. And when you get up in the middle of the night open a faucet for a few seconds to move some water. It's the little things you can do that will save you a lot of work later.
I've found my spot for the day.

It's a balmy 31 here in SC at the moment! I saw 23 early this morning, so a bit cool of here in the South.

We got about 3 inches of snow too last night, so more than I've seen here since moving here. Of course many folks here act like it was blizzard.  :(

Anyway, it's supposed to stay cold here for a few more days, and forecasted to be in the 60's mid week next week, so that's getting back to normal for here.

It is still winter.  ;D

We were 15 at 7:00 am. Supposed to have reached 39. I think it may have made it since the sun decided to come out today.
Too cold for Alabama.

We got down to 11 and that's SUPER RARE for here. We also broke a 130 year old record with 9 inches of snow that has shut everything down.
